[Review] Innisfree Bija Cica Balm
While Asian beauty products has been a rage over many countries, Korean beauty products has been one of the most raved, be it the don't-know-how-many-steps skincare routine, oil cleansing method, etc.
My sister recently went to Korea, and of course, I had to ask her to get me some stuffs from there! Because come on, how many skin care product is actually considered enough...?

And er - socks.

And er - socks.
After hearing all the rave about this Innisfree Bija Cica Balm among Koreans on Instagram and YouTube, I had to get it! It is sold at a price of 22,000 KRW, which converts to around 27 SGD. Quite pricey for a 40ml tube, but let's test it out!

It has a rather simplistic packaging that looks like those typical of Innisfree's products. A nice, clean feel. :)
I really like the tube with the small nozzle as I can control the amount I want to dispense so I can spot treat and it's hygienic as well, unlike jar/tub type.

This balm protects skin against external irritants while helping relieve irritated skin.

For spots: Apply thickly on the affected area.

The balm has a gel-like consistency and it is rather odourless. It spreads very easily and absorbs into the skin well.
I've recently tried this balm on my cheeks due to redness caused by a recent active breakout of acne and whiteheads (I have no idea why :<). I guess I may have damaged my skin and my moisture barrier. It sucks, and I regretted not taking care of my skin well enough. I was probably trying out too many products at once.. or one of the products I tried had a bad reaction. :l So, don't be like me. :D
This balm does help to relieve and ease the redness I have on my cheeks. For the first few days I applied this balm (day and night), it didn't seem to do anything for me. I thought it would just be a bust. But after using for weeks, I noticed its slight effects on my cheeks. My cheeks are less inflamed and red thanks to the balm! (There has to be patience, and I'm glad I held on.) It is very lightweight and not greasy at all. It does help to calm down some of my acne when I applied a thick layer over it as well. Overall, I would say it's a good product, and I think that it would be suitable for sensitive skin too!
The only con I have here is the price wise. It is slightly pricey for a small tube bought in Korea, it must be retailed even pricier in Singapore's Innisfree store. Do check it out!
Thanks for reading!
