[Review] Jorubi Aloe Vera Gel

Recently, I went to Sentosa with my friend and we went to Siloso beach to get a spot and started our picnic and just chilling by the beach. We were there around noon and the sun was actually quite scorching. However, the heat only came to us on and off, so we thought we wouldn't get tanned. But yeap, you guessed it - we did get tanned, and even worse, sun burnt. Haha!

I didn't even put on any sunscreen or sunblock. I'm dead.

Anyway, we enjoyed our time for a few hours at Siloso beach and it got cloudy and started to drizzle. So we headed to the nearby McDonald's to get some drink and enjoyed the air conditioning there. After awhile, we head out and realise that the rain had stopped (very quickly). So we proceeded to Palawan beach this time.

We crossed the bridge and went to chill at the small "island" across the bridge. There were no sun anymore then, and luckily, there are waves of sea breeze that keeps us cool.

Long story short, we had an unexpected sun tan session at the beach. And damn, my skin became as red as a tomato.

I went home to shower and oh danggg it hurts and burns. Especially my face and my knees. Hahahaha ouch. Anyway, I hadn't thought about writing this post until I actually don't have any products to cool my skin down and I just pick this Jorubi Aloe Vera Gel from my table that has been there like since forever (ok, exaggerated, it's not expired and that's the main point).

I actually tried the really tiny sized Jorubi Aloe Vera Gel many years back when it was still new in the market, the one in a eye-drop bottle, 10ml if I'm not wrong, and I used it to spot treat my pimples, but I don't think I can really see any difference because I didn't really use it much then.

I went to purchase the one in a tube of 120ml, and I'm really glad I did.

You can actually see how much I've used, and really, I think it does its job.

So basically I just slather the Aloe Vera Gel generously onto my face, and it sinks in pretty well.

I like how minimal the ingredient list is, and aloe juice being the first item. :)

[INGREDIENTS] ALOE JUICE, WATER, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, CARBOMER-940, TRIETHANOLAMINE, IMIDAZOLIDINYL, UREA, METHYLPARABEN

I think the gel really does cool down my face when I was sun burnt for the past few days. I use it as liberally as needed (literally written on the tube). It's like an all-in-one solution for me, look at all the uses it can be used for.

[USES] Pimples/Acne, Ulcers (including mouth ulcers), Haemorrhoids (Piles), Stretchmarks, Rashes, Minor burns (including sunburn), Bruises, Cuts/Abrasions and Insect bites.

When applying this gel, I think it actually forms a layer of protection on the skin. I think most Aloe Vera products does that. But it didn't felt like I had anything on my face. Only when washing my face, I could feel there's still product, like a slippery gel consistency when mixed with water, and it is very easily washed off. Then I would just re-apply. It feels really nice. Plus the important point is that it didn't cause me to breakout too. I haven't tried refrigerating it but I would imagine it to be even more enjoyable to use.

In addition to this, I've actually been using this gel for my ulcers as well. And it is so amazing. I even bought one bottle for my grandmother because she was complaining how her mouth keeps forming ulcers and they are so painful. *Heart breaks*

I never thought about using Aloe Vera Gel for ulcers until I saw that they have stated that it can be used for mouth ulcers. Please do not use other Aloe Vera Gel in your mouth... I think these are very different to those from Nature Republic or the other Korean skincare brands' Aloe Vera Gel.

And... I'm so glad I tried it. I thought it would taste nasty, but actually the taste was quite acceptable. A little bit of a sweet taste I would say (yes, I went to taste it again just so). So what it does is that it actually forms a layer over my ulcers, so that I wouldn't feel that the ulcer even exist. And you know those ulcers that actually feels rough, the gel actually smooths it out. However, once you have "eaten" away all the Aloe Vera, you might feel the ulcer again so I would just re-apply it. It allows my ulcer to heal much quicker and pain-free.

I highly recommend this! Be it for ulcer, pimples, sunburn or insect bites, I use it literally for everything! I think it can be used as a moisturiser as well. Although the results may vary on each of the uses, I think it is good enough for me. It works really great for my ulcers. For pimples, maybe a subtle effect but not so drastic.

Recently, I've seen Jorubi promoting their new products, but I have yet to try them! I guess I will settle for this gel for now.

Thanks for reading!

Love,
Pitzzadiary
